- Download and install the appropriate CP210x USB driver from Silicon Labs website. Use the Universal Windows Driver for Windows 10 computers (VCP Windows driver for Windows 7/8 computers). Use the Mac OS X Driver for Macs.
- Connect the Helix to a USB port on your computer using a miniUSB cable
- Open the SimpleBGC GUI software
- Choose the connection port in the drop down menu in the top left corner (Note for OSX users: The USB port will have the letters “SLAB” in the name)
- Click Connect
- Move the Helix on any axis. If the dials show movement then your Helix is connected.
